There are no pink stripes to speak of now. In fact, we're on the other side of the wheel....blue. Here are some pictures to show you what we've been up to in her room.....
Her new room is much larger than the last, has large windows and beautiful sunlight. As you can see in the first photo, we had a lot of progress to make just to be able to walk through the room. (Moving with three kids...Can anyone understand?)
After a few days (too many) of sleeping on the floor, our little girl got herself a big girl's bed. We opted for the $89 score at Ikea. Yes, way too much of my furniture comes from the Swedes. We call it her "Princess Bed". It doesn't help in the least to get her to sleep in it. Our bed is way too enticing for her. But it sure looks pretty.
The single window is on the side of the house; the double is on the front. I think they are both begging for some gorgeous fabric to play in.
The photo below is the wall when you walk in. The large door is the main door and the smaller door is the closet. The hair bow wreath is the only thing I've hung in here. And the tea set table is now in the basement. That leaves us with a blank wall to play with...come on ideas!
Here is another shot of the Princess Bed. Her twin size comforter is barely making the cut on her full size bed. But it's pretty too.
Opposite the bed is her dresser. Her dresser was my dresser given to me by my favorite Uncle. The piece was given it's first makeover since my Uncle gave it to me when Love was born, and after 20 something years, it was time. It delights me that my sweet angel now uses the same beauty I used as a child. Hopefully in her new room redo I can bring back some needed love to it. Notice it's missing a few knobs. Yikes!
There you have it. AdaLove's new room. Hope you'll stay tuned as I try to figure out what the heck I'm going to do with it!
